Raiders RB Marshawn Lynch becomes team owner of new football league

Oakland Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch has always been a savvy business mind. Between his commercials for Skittles, Nike, Pepsi and more, Lynch knows how to make money.

Now, he will try his hand as a team owner. In a press release Thursday, it was announced that he and former teammate Richard Sherman would be team owners and fan captains in the new Fan Controlled Football League.

Lynch and Sherman will each have their own team, but their teams will be run by the fans. Sherman and Lynch will handle day-to-day operations as the fans will control the roster, the coaching staff and will call the plays.
