There’s already a Knicks’ TV plan forming around Kevin Durant

Just because Knicks fans still packed the Garden with a thumbs-up understanding of the team’s tanking, that didn’t mean people were watching from home.

Knicks telecasts on MSG Network went in the tank also this season, seeing a ratings drop of 38 percent over last season, according to Sports Business Journal.

The Knicks finished with an NBA-worst 17-65 record which tied the lowest mark in franchise history. Knicks officials have maintained extreme positivity over the future with a top-five draft pick in June and cap space for two max free-agent players in July.

If Kevin Durant lands here, it’s already being speculated among industry insiders he’d host his own show on MSG Network.

The Nets, meanwhile, saw a 22 percent ratings leap on YES Network but had the league’s lowest attendance (14,941). The Knicks ranked ninth in attendance (19,002). After the season finale nearly three weeks ago, Knicks coach David Fizdale said it had been a worthwhile season.

“As a group, we got a chunk of young guys we can move forward with in the future and be able to fill in some spots around some veteran players and move in the direction of winning,’’ Fizdale said.
